The Ultimate Self Love Summer Bucket List
Last Updated on April 29, 2024 by Isabelle Dias
The sundresses are coming out from the closets, warm days and barbecues invitations make life more fun, and ice cream is a daily thing. So you know what that means… Summer is here! And if you want to use the next few weeks as a bit of a life reset, investing more time in yourself and your personal development… this Self Love Summer Bucket List is for you!
I am about to share a fun approach for the happiest days of the year and provide you with some of my favorite resources to take your self-love levels to the roof! So, if you’re going to pin this cutie pie at your favorite board over Pinterest, I recommend doing that now!
Summer bucket list ideas
#1 Have a spa day (alone or with your friends)
Get yourself ready for the season with a self-care day just for yourself, or invite your friends. A day of mani-pedi, face mask, laughter, and *maybe* even margaritas.
#2 Create a Pinterest-worthy picnic with your closest friends
I just did this, and it was one of the most fun experiences I’ve had! So go all-in researching references on Pinterest with your friends and together create a beautiful picnic. Here are some pictures of the one my friends and I threw together. I hope it can give you some inspiration!
#3 Have a movie night outside (backyard, porch, screening at the park…)
If you are a musical fan like me, you can keep the Summer theme going and sing along with Grease: “But, oh, those summer niiiiiiiights.”
#4 Walk on the beach (or near water) as you listen to your favorite playlist
There is something special about walking near the water. The breeze, the calming scenery, the sense that there is something bigger than yourself. But enjoying that as you listen to your favorite songs? *chef’s kiss*
#5 Bring your favorite dream vacation to life
Greece, Italy, Sint Maarten? Put your wanderlust hat on and recreate it at home. Look for a typical food, candles with the aroma that can take you to the place, and top it off with local music.
Things for a summer bucket list
#6 Meditate at sunset or sunrise
There is something unique and refreshing about sunset and sunrise. It’s a new chance that presents itself in the most beautiful way possible. So use the moment to meditate and give the same opportunity for yourself.
#7 Save your favorite book for the rainy summer days
I love big books, and I cannot lie. So get comfy with a delicious iced tea and enjoy the summer rain inside, with a good book as your company.

#8 Adventure yourself with summer baking
Create your own version of The Great British Bake Off! Then, go over to Pinterest and search “summer baking” to get inspired (and craving sugar).
#9 Have brunch outside with your favorite people
Brunch is always a good idea. But brunch outside, feeling the sun, laughing with your favorite people? Priceless.
#10 Curate your perfect road trip playlist, and then… go for it!
Is there anything more fulfilling than singing aloud in your car as you drive through the highway?
#11 Discover the wonders of a small town near you
This can add to the previous idea! Look for a cute small town near yours and spend a day or a weekend exploring it.
#12 Go for a hike that challenges you but doesn’t kill you
Look for something that will make you step out of your comfort zone, but not enough to make you pass out—a happy middle.

#13 Create a new favorite cocktail (or step up your lemonade game!)
Again, Pinterest can be your best friend here! Look up “summer cocktail recipes” to get inspired, or take your lemonade game to another level if you don’t drink.
#14 Step up your Sunday Self Care Game
Since Summer is all about resetting, use this to be intentional with your self-care. What better way to start than with a Sunday self-care ritual?

#15 Do a mid-year self-check-in
Summer also means that we made it to the middle of the year. Take this moment to check in with yourself, how you are doing, and what needs to be adjusted.
